AI Image Review from Premium
Alt text, text in images, contrast and image quality in one AI review – with priority, WCAG reference and a recommendation you can act on right away.
AI Image Review adds a look at the image itself to the Accessibility Test. Upload images or choose them from the media library and get saved results that you manage like test results.
What the AI checks
Automated tests see the HTML, not the image. AI Image Review looks into the image and names what holds back people with visual or reading impairments.
How it works
The review runs in the AI Image Review tab and saves every result – you can come back later, retest or tidy up.
Drag and drop images into the AI Image Review tab or choose them from the media library – one at a time or several in a row.
The batch shows position, current image title and processing phase. Until the result is ready, a placeholder card holds its place in the list.
Each result starts with a preview, priority, number of findings and WCAG references, followed by the summary and the findings.
Apply the alt text, ignore a finding or retest. Results stay saved until you deliberately delete them.
AI findings
A result is more than a list of problems. Every finding names priority and WCAG criterion, explains the background and puts the recommended action first – so the next step is clear.
Every finding carries a risk level as text, not just as color, and names the matching WCAG success criteria.
When you open a finding, the recommendation sits at the top and is already expanded. Rationale and technical details stay one level below.
You hide hints that are not relevant to your image – and bring them back with one click when needed.
Working together with AI Alt Text
Every reviewed image comes with an alt text suggestion. You edit it in the result and write it to the media library with one click – without switching tabs.
The alt text suggestion appears right in the result and can be adjusted there before you apply it.
One click writes the text into the attachment alt text field. The review does not replace your approval – you decide.
Title, description, caption and file name are taken into account if you have enabled them under AI Alt Text.
Saved like test results
Reviews stay in WordPress. You can find them again, compare them, tidy up and work with them on your phone too.
Cloud processing & privacy
AI Image Review uses the same managed cloud service as AI Alt Text. The analysis starts only after cloud features are enabled and the processing notices are confirmed in the connection dialog.
Only users with administrator rights see the AI Image Review tab, and only with an active Premium or Agency plan. The review does not replace a manual assessment by experts.
Plans & quotas
50 reviews per month and website, including alt text apply and saved results. The other image features are already available in the smaller plans.

Good to know
Plans, limits of the review, data transmission and how it works with AI Alt Text.
Premium and Agency. They include 50 reviews per month and website. The tab is visible only to users with administrator rights when a suitable plan is active.
No. AI Image Review supports you with typical image issues such as missing alt text, text in images or weak contrast. Assessing them in the context of the page and the final judgment remain a job for people.
The image file goes to OpenAI through the managed EZZE proxy; Google Gemini serves as a technical fallback service. If the local image can be read, no public image URL is transmitted. In addition, existing alt text, enabled media fields, language settings and site, account, plan and version identifiers may be included. Prerequisites are enabled cloud features and confirmation of the processing notices.
An open detail view closes, the list jumps to the running review and shows a placeholder card until the new result arrives. If the new run fails, the previous result is kept.
Both use the same cloud service and the same optional media fields. The order that has proven itself: review first, then refine the alt text in the result or apply it straight to the media library. For many images without alt text, Alt Text Batch Processing is the faster way.
Usually it is the size limits: a maximum of 5 MiB file size and 4,096 pixels on the longer edge. Compress the image or reduce its dimensions and start the review again.
Get started
Upload an image, read the finding and apply the alt text – from Premium, right in WordPress.
Many barriers lie in the image itself: text that exists only as a graphic, too little contrast in a headline over a photo, an alt text that does not describe the image. The automated accessibility test sees the HTML, but not the image. AI Image Review from EZZE WCAG Pro closes this gap with an AI-assisted review of alternative text, visible text in the image, contrast estimate and image quality.
Each result starts with a preview, priority, number of findings and WCAG references. The findings name the recommended action first and keep rationale and technical details one level below. You edit the alt text suggestion right in the result and apply it to the media library with one click.
Like test results, reviews stay in WordPress: an overview counts reviews with findings and high priorities, filters by risk level and status run server-side, and on your phone every result opens as a bottom sheet with “Back” and “Next”. Orphaned results stay visible as history until you deliberately clean them up.
AI Image Review is included in Premium and Agency, with 50 reviews per month and website, and works together with AI Alt Text and Alt Text Batch Processing. This way you check images against WCAG 1.1.1, 1.4.3 and 1.4.5 before they are published – right where your media live.
