Permissions for teams
Single test, batch test, others' content and delete – four permissions you switch on or off for each WordPress role.
Editors test their posts, Administrators keep batch runs and the deletion of results. The permissions in EZZE WCAG Pro build on the WordPress roles and take effect immediately – without extra user management.
The four test permissions
Every permission stands for an action with its own risk: a single test costs little, a batch run costs quota, deleting changes the history. That is why they are granted separately.
How it works
No new users, no passwords: Permissions use the roles your WordPress installation already has.
In the plugin settings you find the Permissions section with all roles of your WordPress installation.
Every role has a row – Editor, Author, Shop Manager or custom roles created by plugins.
Switch single test, batch test, others' content and delete on or off for each role. Every change applies immediately.
The overview shows which role may do what. As your team grows, you extend permissions with one click.
Safe by default
The default is conservative: only Administrators may do everything. You grant permissions deliberately instead of taking them back later.
All four test permissions, all settings, the cloud connection and the premium tools always stay with the Administrator – regardless of configuration.
For tests, a role needs the WordPress capability edit_posts; for AI alt texts, the right to upload media. Roles without this capability do not appear.
Anyone without permission does not even see the buttons. No error messages, no accidental runs.
AI features
AI alt texts cost generations from your monthly quota. That is why you decide which roles may trigger them – and the big consumers stay with the Administrator.
On the Free plan only the Administrator generates. From Basic you enable roles with media upload rights – for example Editors who add images.
Alt Text Batch Processing and AI Image Review use quota on a larger scale. They are therefore reserved for Administrators.
Only Administrators enable the cloud features and confirm the processing notices. Enabled roles use them without being able to change them.
Overview
Enabled permissions apply per role. Anything involving settings, license or larger quotas stays reserved for Administrators.
Permissions do not replace WordPress roles. A role can only test what it may also edit in WordPress – others' content only with the matching permission.
Plans & quotas
The test permissions per role are part of the plugin. What grows with the plan are the features you can enable.

Good to know
Plans, batch tests, your own content, Administrators and roles from other plugins.
The four test permissions per role are part of the plugin and can be set in all plans. Role access for AI Alt Text is possible from Basic; on the Free plan only the Administrator generates.
By default only Administrators, because batch tests are resource-intensive. In the Permissions you can enable “Allow batch tests” for other roles with the edit_posts capability, such as Editors. More on the Batch Tests & Workflows page.
Yes. Without the “Test others' content” permission, a role only tests content the user may edit themselves. The permission extends testing to all posts and pages.
Nothing. Administrators always keep all four permissions: single tests, batch tests, testing other users' content and deleting results. The settings only affect the other roles.
Yes. Every role with the edit_posts capability is listed, for example the Shop Manager from WooCommerce or custom roles from membership plugins.
Because deleted results also disappear from Analytics and the score trend. Anyone who may test should not automatically be able to alter the website's history.
Get started now
Install EZZE WCAG Pro, open the Permissions and give your team exactly the permissions it needs.
As soon as several people work on a website, accessibility needs clear responsibilities. The permissions in EZZE WCAG Pro build on the WordPress roles: for each role you decide whether it may run single tests, start batch tests, test other users' content and delete saved results. Administrators always keep all permissions.
The default is deliberately conservative. Batch tests are resource-intensive and therefore reserved for Administrators at first; deleting results changes Analytics and the score trend and remains a separate permission. Roles from other plugins, such as the Shop Manager from WooCommerce, appear automatically as soon as they may edit content.
AI alt texts use generations from the monthly quota. From Basic you enable AI Alt Text for roles with media upload rights, such as Editors who add images. Alt Text Batch Processing, AI Image Review, the cloud connection and all settings stay with the Administrator.
This is how your team works with EZZE WCAG Pro without permissions growing by accident – in all plans, right in the plugin settings, without extra user management. You find the analysis of all tests under Analytics.
