Usage data stored on the EZZE proxy
After Cloud Features opt-in, the proxy maintains an access-restricted quota ledger. It contains the technical site mapping, plan and plugin version, monthly counters, and metadata required for usage history, such as tested page or image URLs. Detailed events are retained for the current and three preceding months. One-time Free allowances for AI Alt Text and AI explanations remain as aggregate lifetime counters after older event details have been removed. New entries in the SQLite quota ledger do not contain an IP address.
Custom quota limits remain until they expire or are removed manually; abuse blocks remain until they expire or are lifted. During a controlled storage migration, an access-restricted JSON rollback copy may coexist for no more than 14 days. Consistent SQLite snapshots are backed up off-site in encrypted form and rotated as 48 hourly, 14 daily, and four monthly snapshots. Plugin users do not configure WordPress, wp-config.php, or their server for this storage.
Diagnostics for batch problems
For new batch runs, the support ID, run status, timestamps, and diagnostic events are stored in WordPress and by the EZZE service. They help support identify a reported run and investigate interruptions. The association with the WordPress user who started the run stays in your WordPress installation. Diagnostic events are retained for 90 days and run summaries for 90 days. See Support ID for batch run problems for how to include the ID in a support request.
Read aloud and privacy
The Toolbar uses the browser or operating system speech service for Read aloud. EZZE WCAG Pro sends neither a speech request nor page text to an EZZE endpoint. The selected browser, operating system, and voice determine whether speech is generated entirely on the device or through that provider’s online service. Site operators should account for that possible provider processing in their own privacy notice when offering Read aloud.
